The unique combination of forests, rivers, waterfalls, beaches will make you live unforgettable moments from simple sea bath to extreme sports. The ecotourism is the main engine of sustainable development in Itacaré. It offers a responsible use of the natural ressources while respecting the traditions and the preservation of the nature while improving the quality of life of the local community. The Ecological Reserve Itacaré and the Serra Grande is a perfect setting for adventure and wild sports.

With the help of professional guides you'll be able to discover the nature of Itacaré . Several agencies in the village offer this type of service. In Itacaré and Serra Grande there are didactic roadways that will show you the diversity of fauna and flora. Some of those roadways are located around small farms and with the Floresta. An adventure trail built in the trees makes an original way to discover the 60 millions years old coastal rainforest the Mata Atlantica.
Surf :
Itacaré has a wide variety of beaches with excellent waves. In Itacaré you'll find many beaches more or less frequented by the public, some will be close to the village have bars and others more wild not too crowded will offer you an unforgettable landscape and the environment is totally preserved. Best time to enjoy those places is from June to October.
Capoeira :
Capoeira is a dance and a martial art and it's a pure expression of the Afro Brezilian culture. In Itaré, 3 groups are practicing the regional Capoeira (an acrobatic and spectacular Capoeira) Luanda, Tribo do Porto and Fihlos de Zumbi. Each offer a daily training sessions (many children, young persons are attend and all are open to visitors).
